Dr. Seibold has consulted widely in business and industry. He has worked as a management consultant and conducted training for more than two dozen organizations, including Merrill Lynch, BP Amoco, Kraft, the American Medical Association, Seagate Tape Technologies, and the U.S. Air Force. He has conducted workshops on several communication issues, including interpersonal effectiveness, group process skills, and presentation skills for executives and managers.
David Seibold is Director of the Graduate Program in Management Practice, and Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He also has been a faculty member at the University of Illinois, University of Southern California, and Purdue University. A recent editor of the Journal of Applied Communication Research, he also serves as a reviewer for numerous journals including Administrative Science Quarterly and Management Communication Quarterly.
Dr. Seibold is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Communication Association, and is a member of the Association for Business Communication, American Society for Training and Development, Association for Communication Administration, Academy of Management, and American Evaluation Association.
In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the United States and Europe on bicycle.
